FOR GIRLS! GIRLS! GIRLS! HE RETURNS TO THE ISLANDS WITH THE INTENTION OF REPEATING THE “BLUE HAWAII” FORMULA.

During March and June 1962, the soundtrack recordings and filming of Elvis’s 11th film, “Girls! Girls! Girls!” again for Paramount Pictures. The soundtrack is pre-recorded at the end of March at Radio Recorders. Otis Blackwell’s new composition “Return To Sender” seems destined to become a new hit.

Again the film is set in Hawaii in an attempt to emulate the formula that had given such good results a year earlier. Hal B.Wallis had definitely decided that Elvis would play carefree characters in order to make his films enjoyable, fun and suitable for all families. Blue Hawaii had pointed the way, and nothing heralded a change of direction in Elvis’ film career.
