Information

The young Walter Gulik (Elvis Presley) returns from military service with the intention of resuming his quiet life as a car mechanic. An experienced boxer, he sees how he has to return to the ring due to the dangerous relations that his representative (Gig Young) maintains with the world of the game.

Remake of the film starring in 1937 by Edward G.Robinson, Bette Davis and Humphrey Bogart and curiously directed by Michael Curtiz (King Creole).

For this new version, Elvis surrounds himself with illustrious names from the world of Hollywood such as Gig Young and the eternal tough guy Charles Bronson, in addition to repeating the bill with his Joan Blackman (Blue Hawaii, 1961). A film that tries to combine the drama formula with the musical numbers of the king of rock and the result was good.
