INFORMATION
Something For Everybody was the studio album (not soundtrack) by Elvis from 1961. Recorded in March of that same year in a marathon eleven-hour session at Studio B in Nashville, it was an album differentiated into two parts, one with ballads. that showed the maturity of his voice and another part with more moving songs that showed that when he wanted, Elvis could take us back to the 50’s.
As a “bonus” it included a song from his recent film “Wild In The Country” such as I Slipped I Stumbled I Fell. Released in June 1961, the album reached number 1 on the Billboard charts. Despite everything, sales were similar to those of Elvis Is Back!, which showed that fans bought the soundtracks more than the studio albums themselves.
Something For Everybody is listed as a gold record by the RIAA.
