ELVIS ON STAGE
ELVIS ON STAGE UNDUBBED
NOW ENTERTAINMENT LP + CD
In late June 1970, RCA released the album “ON STAGE” with 10 live tracks not immediately associated with Elvis.
Although ‘February 1970’ is mentioned on the cover, two songs from August 1969 were included.
The main attraction of the album was the mega-hit “The Wonder Of You“.
In addition, the album contained tracks like John Fogerty‘s “Proud Mary” and Tony Joe White‘s “Polk Salad Annie.”

“Polk Salad Annie” would become a standard powerhouse performance at her live appearances and she would perform it close to 500 times on stage.
The album reached gold status 8 months later, and although very powerful and near-perfect tracks were selected for this album, some overdubs still had to be done to make the album suitable for release.
Mostly some backing vocals needed to be added or replaced, some new guitar work was also done and some hand claps added, and backing vocals from the Sweet Inspirations had to be overdubbed as well.
These overdubs were made in late March and early April 1970.
This release contains the “ON STAGE” LP in its original form, without dubs.
This album comes out on orange and white vinyl 180 grams, and a CD version is added.
