INFORMATION

Paradise Hawaiian Style Style, made its appearance on the record market in June 1966. New soundtrack for the movie that Elvis made for Paramount Pictures. The sessions took place at the Radio Recorders in Hollywood in July 1965 without the presence of Elvis who would incorporate his vocal part later, specifically in the month of August. Unfortunately we cannot say that anything improved on this LP. The quality of the tracks was in free fall. Everything and return to an environment related to Hawaii that had given him such good memories and results five years before…in 1966 not much was left of those years, all and the short distance that separated them…

Two aspects to highlight from this LP: The first is to appreciate in certain tracks, such as the one that opens this LP, the magnificent and powerful voice that Elvis had at that time, and which unfortunately was not used. The second aspect to highlight is the anecdote from the cover… where it was decided to put a photo of Elvis from 1963 instead of a current one from 1965 (the year the film was shot).

Regarding commercial issues, the album reached number 15 on the Billboard charts, but sales did not exceed 250,000 copies.
