The first new product from FTD in the new year 2024
As announced several months ago, FTD will produce a four-CD box set called “The Blue Hawaii Sessions” at the end of January (the premiere is scheduled for January 29).
The discs will include a complete record of Elvis Presley’s recording sessions from March 1961, which created songs for the soundtrack of the highest-grossing film with his participation.
The announced release is a “reduced” (simplified) version of the “The Making Of Blue Hawaii” set released in 2022, which included two books, a vinyl single and four CDs with exactly the same content as currently.
Already then, i.e. on the occasion of the premiere of the first title, the publisher signaled that the material would be produced in a “more modest” form so that those fans who could not afford to buy an expensive (approx. PLN 1,000) set could enjoy the music of their idol (and have chance to see these historic sessions).
FTD is also announcing a similar solution with a new box dedicated to the 1972 documentary “On Tour“.
In addition to the CDs, the new set will also include a richly illustrated brochure full of information about the film, memories of the composers and musicians involved in the recordings.
