ELVIS, FEBRUARY 6, 1955
On February 6, ’55 Elvis performs at the Ellis Auditorium in Memphis, but for all his local fame, he is listed below such established stars as Faron Young, Ferlin Huskey and Martha Carson, whose signature tune, “Satisfied “, is one of Elvis’ favorites.
Elvis attempted to record “Satisfied” in September 1954, and it is located in the box that contained the tape, in Box #12 that Sam Phillips gave to RCA after signing the contract; Unfortunately, it is still lost. (Photo: keithflynn.com)

Between performances, Bob Neal, Elvis Presley’s then-manager, arranges a meeting between Sun Records president Sam Phillips and Colonel Tom Parker and Tom Diskin at Palumbo’s restaurant, across the street from the auditorium. The rest is history.
