DESCRIPTION

Single composed on both sides by Leiber and Stoller for the soundtrack of Jailhouse Rock, the third foray into the cinema of the boy from Tupelo. 

Take number six is ​​the one chosen to appear on this single that reaches the first position in the Top 100 of Billboard magazine on October 26, staying in this position for seven weeks in a row. In total 27 weeks of permanence in lists for a subject, possibly of the most representative of the musical career of Elvis Presley.

The choreography and staging of the theme in the film is one of the most memorable moments of Elvis’s career. 

Its B-side, Treat Me Nice, had two versions destined to appear in the film recorded on April 30 and May 3, 1957, although the master that appeared on the single was finally recorded on September 24 in Hollywood (take number fifteen ).

It obtained as best position the number 27 in the Top 100 of the Billboard and the number 1 in the R&B. The single is currently multi-platinum.
