INFORMATION

Soundtrack of the first Elvis movie from the 60’s. Recorded in two different studios (RCA Studio on Sunset Boulevard and Radio Recorders) between April and May 1960, it shows us a still consistent soundtrack if we take into account those that would come later, but where Elvis was already beginning to show some dissatisfaction with the material that was shown to him.

Starting in 1960, it would become more and more common for great composers who had contributed material to Elvis, to stop doing so in disagreement with the loss of a large part of the copyright of the songs that they themselves composed. All and all the difficulties, Elvis does a great job with the songs. Like the movie, this LP was a complete success, reaching number 1 on the Billboard charts and achieving a gold record.
