The success that Elvis obtained with the release of his EP “Peace In The Valley” in 1957 was not a coincidence and encouraged Elvis to consider releasing an entire album of gospel themes in the future.
This project materialized in 1960 with the release of His Hand In Mine. Recorded at Nashville’s Studio B in October 1960, it is an album that pays tribute to the first music he heard and loved so much.
Published in November of the same 1960, it reached number 13 on the Billboard charts and is currently listed as a Platinum record by the RIAA.
