Information

Double contribution from the duo Leiber and Stoller for this Elvis single, although in the case of its A-side, She’s Not You, we must also highlight the co-authorship of the great Doc Pomus.

New gold record for the boy from Tupelo thanks to the sales of a single that on its A-side saw it reach fifth position on the Hot 100 charts and number one in the United Kingdom. Side B, makes its chart debut on August 11, 1962, peaking at number 55 as the best for five weeks.

On March 18 and 19, 1962, Elvis moved to Nashville to make what would be his first recordings of that year. The musicians were the usual ones at that time, except for the novelties that would accompany Scotty Moore on guitar: Harold Bradley and Thomas.

Most of the songs included in Pot Luck (1962) would emerge from these recording sessions.

The master takes were #3 for Side A and #6 for Side B.
