INFORMATION
Released in November 1962, the album Girls! Girls! Girls! It was the soundtrack to the movie made for Paramount Pictures. The recording sessions took place at Radio Recorders in Hollywood, in March 1962. Without being a sequel, which obviously was not, it was set again in Hawaii, which a year earlier had given such good results with “Blue Hawaii ” regarding the film and the album itself. On this occasion the results were good, but they did not come to emulate the previous success. The soundtrack has good moments, but the lack of good material was already evident. All of this, we find good songs like the one that opens the album “Girls! Girls! Girls!,” like I Don’t Wanna Be Tied and the timeless Return To Sender, which in turn was a hit single that same year.
With approximate sales of more than 600,000 copies, it was certified gold by the RIAA and reached number 3 on the Billboard charts.
