Released in March 1971, “You’ll Never Walk Alone” was a new LP from the Camden (RCA) series. Recently Colonel Parker had signed a new contract to continue publishing this type of LP’s and the good results (especially commercial) they had given. “You’ll Never Walk Alone” showed us songs related to one of Elvis’s favorite genres, Gospel. There were no new songs except for the song “Who Am I?” recorded at the American Studios in Memphis. The rest had been previously published and came from different recording sessions and eras.
The LP reached number 69 on the Billboard charts and initially reached approximately 200,000 copies. Over the years the LP has managed to reach three million copies. current ones, which have allowed it to obtain the triple platinum record awarded by the RIAA.
