Information

Released in August 1962, the Kid Galahad EP corresponds to the soundtrack of the film that Elvis made for the Mirisch Brothers Company.

The sessions took place at Radio Recorders in October 1961. The early 60’s still show us an Elvis engaged in the recording sessions of these soundtracks, repeating everything after take and making modifications in the execution, until he found a version that most satisfied him. Even in 1961, the songs contributed, although they were not of excellent quality, were correct and Elvis did a great job, proof of this this EP left us interesting songs like King Of THe Whole Wide World, Home Is Where The Heart Is or I Got Lucky

The EP peaked at number 30 on the Billboard charts, but that didn’t stop it from getting good sales, obtaining the gold record awarded by the RIAA.
