Charlie Rogers (Elvis Presley) is a lonely young man who travels the country on his motorcycle in search of fortune. Fate brings him to a traveling fair where he initially works as a maintenance man. He soon reveals his talent for music, which makes the fair’s proletarian, Maggie (Barbara Stanwyck), dream of being able to escape the state of bankruptcy that
her business is suffering.

New production by Hal. B. Wallis and new script by Allan Weiss for a 34-year-old Elvis who was facing his sixteenth film in Hollywood, playing the role of a rebellious boy who decides to join a traveling carnival to seek fortune.

Good soundtrack and a luxury companion for the king of rock in the form of veteran actress Barbara Stanwyck, star of Hollywood in the golden years. The anecdotes include the second appearance on the big screen for an unknown at that time, Raquel Welch, with a very brief appearance; in the same way that another unknown Teri Garr (Young Frankenstein, 1974) would also do, although in reality, Garr had also appeared briefly in Kissin’ Cousins (1964).
