Elvis Presley In Memphis

In 1948, Elvis Presley And His Family Move to Memphis

Elvis plays his guitar and sings “leaf on a tree” for his class at Milam Junior High School in Tupelo as a farewell because a new change was going to occur in his life: Elvis and his parents pack their belongings in a trunk that they tie in the roof of their 1939 Plymouth, and move to Memphis, Tennessee, in search of a better financial life. Other members of the Smith Presley family would follow.
