EL SHOW FUE PARA UNA BUENA CAUSA…
La lista de temas para el concierto del 25 de Marzo de 1961 en el Bloch Arena de Honolulu, HI, es una reliquia que une uno de sus mejores conciertos con la construcción de un recordatorio a los caídos en Pearl Harbor el 7 de Diciembre de 1941.
Elvis la escribió de puño y letra en papelería con membrete del Hilton Hawaiian Village, con 15 canciones.
Luego del show, Presley garabateó una nota personal en el reverso de la lista de temas a su gran amigo Gary Pepper, Presidente del Elvis Presley Tankers fan club, afectado por parálisis cerebral.
Dice Elvis en la nota: “…el show fue para una buena causa, Gary, y fue bueno haber podido hacer mi parte”.
La amistad entre Elvis y Gary comenzó luego de que éste comenzara a coleccionar recortes de periódicos del cantante y los compartiera con su madre.
Presley guardó la lista como un souvenir para Gary por no haber podido estar presente en el show.
