Pictured is Elvis with “Win a date with Elvis” contest winner Andrea June Stephens, 17 (standing behind Elvis). The objective of this contest was for publicity purposes and the winner enjoyed a day in the company of Elvis, accompanying him everywhere: eating together, spending time with him at the Hotel and backstage at the Florida theater, between performances.

Although, as always, he was very kind to the winner, the truth is that he did not feel very comfortable. He was surrounded by journalists all day and his privacy was completely restricted. The truth is that he never again lent himself to carry out this type of publicity act.
