Frank Sinatra Timex Special “Welcome Home Elvis”
On May 12, 1960, the Frank Sinatra Timex Special “Welcome Home Elvis” is broadcast on ABC television.
It welcomes Elvis who has just arrived from Germany.

Elvis makes his first appearance alongside Frank Sinatra, after completing his service in the army.
Elvis performed “Stuck on You” and “Fame and Fortune“, the A and B sides of his first single release for post-army RCA.

He also performed a magnificent, sympathetic and unforgettable duet with Sinatra, performing “Love Me Tender” and “Witchcraft” together.

None of these performances were published until the 1980s.
Elvis also sang a verse during the opening production number, “It’s Nice to Go Trav’ling“, which has yet to be released commercially. The remainder of the special consisted of performances by the other guest stars.
