INFORMATION
Released in November 1958, the “Elvis Sails” EP was a new way to keep Elvis‘ name on the record market while he was serving in the military. We are before the interview that was conducted with Elvis prior to his embarkation to go to Germany.
Colonel Tom Parker did whatever he saw fit to ensure that no one would change while his boy was out of the US. Commercially, sales were small, not reaching 100,000 units, all and in the Billboard charts, it ranked second.
