INFORMATION
Follow That Dream was the release corresponding to the soundtrack of the Elvis film made for the Mirisch Brothers Company and which would be released in 1962.
Recorded at Nashville’s Studio B in July 1961, this EP contains 4 of the 6 tracks originally recorded. Finally the two remaining songs were discarded (One of them, “A Whistling Tune” would be re-recorded for the movie Kid Galahad). Perhaps the first three songs are the best and the fourth is not up to par, everything and that, it’s nice to listen to.
Published in April 1962, the EP reached number 15 on the Billboard charts, selling over 500,000 copies, which allowed it to obtain the gold record. Currently Follow That Dream is listed as platinum by the RIAA.
