INFORMATION

Ask Me, Elvis’s new foray into the melodic song of Italian origin. This time with a song composed by Domenico Modugno under the name of Io and that Giant, Baum and Kaye adapted to the English language, even changing the title of the song. Elvis recorded it in those famous “lost” sessions that produced such good songs but unfortunately could not be seen all of them forming a single long duration. Elvis recorded it in studio B on May 27 and 28, 1963 but it was finally take number two recorded on the 27th that would form the master. It managed to reach position No. 12 on the Billboard magazine list.

For the B-side, we have to go further back in time. We are going to the recording sessions carried out by Elvis in June 1958 in Nashville where he recorded five songs among which was this Ain’t That Loving You Baby?, which after six years saw the light for the first time, reaching the sixteenth position on the North American chart. The master take was number four.
