INFORMATION

Released in November 1965, the Harum Scarum LP was a new soundtrack, in this case to the movie Elvis made for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Once again a soundtrack and once again Elvis subjected to recording songs that he hated to record. It was decided to move the recording sessions to Studio B in Nashville (February 1965) with the hope of getting better acoustics and sound and obtaining more worked themes, but the quality of these could not be improved, everything and that Elvis tried with all his might to make sense of the songs (in some songs like So Close, Yet So Far or Wisdom Of The Ages he certainly did).

As in previous releases, the LP did not achieve high sales and on the Billboard charts it reached number 8.
