Single with recordings belonging to those September 1967 sessions in Nashville from which songs such as Guitar Man, Big Boss Man or You Don’t Know Me emerged. On its A side with a song that has become a popular anthem over the years, You’ll Never Walk Alone, currently the anthem of football clubs such as Liverpool FC, German Borussia Dortmund or Glasgow Celtic. It was originally composed for the Broadway musical Carousel in 1945. The Liverpool group Gerry & The Pacemakers took it to number one in England and in North America it was covered by artists such as Johnny Cash and Frank Sinatra. Elvis’ version reached No. 90 on the Billboard and No. 44 in the UK. The master was obtained from takes one and eight. Elvis himself plays the piano on this recording. We Call On Him, did not enter the lists. Master taken from take nine.
