INFORMATION
Released in October 1969, this double LP could be considered a sequel to the “From Elvis In Memphis” LP. It combines more recordings made at American Sound Studios (during the months of January and February 1969) and live recordings from their recent series of concerts held in August at the International Hotel in Las Vegas. Maybe it doesn’t reach the consistency that “From Elvis In Memphis” had, but it really is an LP that conveys quite well what Elvis was like in 1969, good studio recordings and a sample of what happened between July and August in Las Vegas. with a singer dedicated 100% performing great versions of his classics as well as great interpretations of new and classic songs in very dynamic concerts. This format did not last on the market for a short time since a year later RCA would publish them separately.
The double LP received good reviews, reaching number 12 on the Billboard charts. It is currently listed by the RIAA as a gold record.
