C’Mon Everybody was an LP released in July 1971 by the Camden label (RCA). By 1971 the Camden label had specialized in releasing “concept” albums with songs from Elvis’s back catalogue. Whereas “You’ll Never Walk Alone” was a gospel LP, “C’Mon Everybody” was themed around films set in the 1960s. The anecdotal aspect of these releases was that it was already becoming customary to use an image of Elvis in concert as the album cover, instead of looking for a more appropriate cover (for example, as with “Elvis Country”).
The LP reached number 70 on the Billboard charts, and had initial sales of 100,000 copies. Currently “C’Mon Everybody” is classified as a gold record by the RIAA.
