Information:

Recorded at Radio Recorders, the “Elvis Christmas Album” LP was released in October 1957, being Elvis’ first Christmas album.
It was quite a sales success (helped to a great extent to the levels of popularity that Elvis already enjoyed by that year) for the time, everything and the controversy that was created around it. Controversy given that the most conservative sectors of society could not believe that a Rock singer could publish a release of these characteristics.
Likewise, the refusal of the creator of the song White Christmas (Irvin Berlin) to have Elvis’s version of his song broadcast on the radio was known.

All this, the album was at number 1 for 4 weeks, getting a new Gold record for Elvis. It is currently listed by the RIAA as triple platinum.
