The first single released by Elvis in 1958 has anticipated sales of one million copies and is certified platinum
Again a composition by Leiber and Stoller that Elvis records on September 6 in the same recording sessions in which he is preparing his first album with Christmas themes.
 On March 10, 1958, he reached the top position on the Billboard charts, a position he held for five weeks. In total, twenty weeks for a theme whose master was extracted from take number seven. On country charts it reached number two. In these recording sessions that go from September 5 to 7, 1957, the female voice of Millie Kirkham participated for the first time.

I Beg Of You, side B, take number 34 for the master, was recorded by Elvis for the first time on May 13 but it would be the February 23 version that would be released on the single.
His best position was number eight. It was number two on the Country charts and number 4 on R&B.
