Information

For the third single of Elvis that year 1958, a recording of the king belonging to the recording sessions of January of the previous year is rescued. A theme that had a first version recorded on January 18, 1957 under the name of One Night Of Sin, but that finally, it was decided not to publish because it was considered that its lyrics could seem obscene. Elvis, with the lyrics softened, recorded it again on January 23 under the name of One Night. Take number ten was chosen to extract the master.

I Got Stung, recorded during one of the singer’s leaves of absence (Elvis had joined the army for military service on March 24), appeared as a B-side, and managed to climb to number eight since it appeared on the charts on November 9. It remains on the charts for eighteen weeks. The take to get the master was number 24. I Got Stung was the last song recorded by Elvis in a recording studio in the 1950s.
It is currently certified platinum by the RIAA.
