This rare photo was taken on Friday, December 25, 1959, the day Elvis celebrated Christmas in Germany for the last time.
Elvis hosted a Christmas party for his family and friends, at Goethestrasse 14, his private home in Bad Nauheim, where he lived with his father; his grandmother Minnie Mae; his two friends and bodyguards, Lamar Fike and Red West; and his secretary.
Priscilla, the young woman he had met at that time in Germany, gave him a curious and endearing gift, a set of bongo drums.
That same day, Elvis had arranged for a Christmas present to be given to Anita Wood… the present was a puppy, a French poodle.
