Information
Elvis enters the Radio Recorders studios on January 22, 1963 to record in a couple of sessions the songs that would make up the soundtrack of Fun In Acapulco. The musicians who participated in those sessions were Scotty Moore, “Tiny” Timbrell and Barney Kasel on guitars (Timbrell also played mandolin), Ray Siegel on bass, DJ Fontana and Hal Blaine on drums, Emil Radocchia on percussion, Dudley Brooks on piano, Anthony Terran and Rudolph Loera on trumpets, Clifford Scott on saxophone and the vocals of The Jordanaires and The Amigos.
Bossa Nova Baby, a composition by the legendary Leiber and Stoller, reached number eight on the US Billboard chart. The master was taken from take number eleven. Elvis’s performance in the film is remembered by all and one of the most beautiful to see in his entire film career in the 1960s.

His B-side, Witchcraft, nothing to do with Sinatra’s, was one of those songs that were recorded during the May sessions for a project that ultimately did not come to fruition. It was included in this single reaching position number 32 on the charts. Take three was the one used for the master.
