INFORMATION
The Tickle Me EP was released in May 1965. This Extended Play was the soundtrack to his Allied Artists Pictures film. There was no recording session for these tracks, as they were previously released songs on other releases, specifically on the LP’s Elvis Is Back!, Something For Everybody, and Pot Luck and a track from the May 1963 sessions history was preceded by the contract that Elvis signed with Allied Artist Pictures, which at that time was on the verge of bankruptcy.
Colonel Tom Parker, to avoid higher production costs, decided not to record new songs (also motivated in part by the recent success of a song recorded in 1960, Crying In The Chapel, which had returned Elvis to the top of the charts and sales positions. of success of singles ) and put previously published songs.
