INFORMATION

Tell Me Why, a song that remained hidden for eight years since Elvis recorded it in January 1957, the same day he recorded All Shook Up. Now he saw the light in this single as an A-side, reaching number thirty-three on Billboard and number fifteen on the British charts. The master take was taken from cut number five. The first four takes are not preserved.

For side B, another of those songs recorded in those recording sessions of the “lost album” in May 1963 was chosen. Master extracted from takes two and three, it was No. 95 in the US and No. 22 in the UK. It was included as a bonus track on the soundtrack of the film Double Trouble (1967).
