For this single, RCA recovers the two songs that gave titles to the two gospel LPs published by Elvis to date. On side A, His Hand In Mine, whose master was extracted from takes number five and the end of four. It did not enter the lists.
How Great Thou Art, side B, opened the album published in 1967 and which earned Elvis his first Grammy Award after several nominations throughout his career in the category of Best Gospel Performance. Curiously, Elvis would repeat the award with his live performance of How Great Thou Art on the album Elvis Recorded Live On Stage In Memphis in 1974. The master take was taken from cut number four. It did not enter the lists.
