Elvis Presley returns to the big screen in just a few weeks!
Legions of Elvis Presley fans around the world have been waiting for this news. Australian director Baz Luhrmann announced yesterday the official world premiere date of his latest film dedicated to the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. “We are proud to announce that Bazmark’s latest production, produced in collaboration with Authentic Studios and Sony Music Vision – Baz Luhrmann’s EPiC: Elvis Presley In Concert, in which Elvis sings and tells his story like never before, has been officially selected for the 50th Toronto International Film Festival. This is truly cause for celebration. A little less words, a little more celebration this evening .”
The festival mentioned by the director takes place from September 4-14 of this year. All that’s left is to wait for the first screening and the initial reactions. Judging by the materials released so far (mainly never-before-seen footage from the films “That’s The Way It Is” and “On Tour”) and the previews, we can expect this to be an epic work. And not just because of the title!
