#20.- PROMISED LAND (1975)
Released in January 1975, it is Elvis Presley’s twenty-second studio album. Recorded at the Stax studios in Memphis, it includes material recorded in sessions in 1973. It reached number 47 on the US Billboard 200 chart.
This album contains songs such as: “Promised Land”, “It’s Midnight” or “If You Talk In Your Sleep”, among others…
#19.- GOOD TIMES (1974)
Twenty-first studio album in Elvis Presley’s artistic career. Most of the album is made up of songs recorded in December 1973 at Stax studios in Memphis, except for two songs that were recorded in the sessions in July of that same year. This album obtained one of Presley’s worst commercial results, reaching position 42 of the best-selling albums in the United Kingdom and position 90 on the Billboard 200 in the United States…but for this station this LP has something special.
Within this LP we can find songs like: “My Boy”, “Take Good Care Of Her”, “Loving Arms”, among others…
#18.- FROM ELVIS PRESLEY BOULEVARD, MEMPHIS TENNESSEE (1976)
Released in May 1976, it is Presley’s twenty-fourth studio album. Despite the cover, it is not an album recorded live but was recorded inside Elvis Presley’s mansion, Graceland. The album was Elvis’ fourth album to reach #1 on the Billboard Country charts in less than 4 years.
This album contains songs like: “Hurt”, “For The Heart”, “Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain” and others…
For this station, this album accurately reflects the artist’s mood at that moment in each song.
#17.- ELVIS’ CHRISTMAS ALBUM (1957)
Fourth studio album by Elvis Presley, released by RCA in October 1957. This album was recorded at Radio Recorders in Hollywood and remained at number 1 on the Billboard list for 4 weeks.
Elvis Christmas Album has sold more than 10 million copies in the United States alone and was Presley’s first album to be awarded diamond status by the RIAA.
This great album contains songs like: “Blue Christmas”, “Santa Claus Is Back In Town”, “White Christmas” and many others.
16.- MOODY BLUE (1977)
Released in July 1977 by RCA, a month before Elvis Presley’s death, it compiles material collected from different recording sessions in 1976 and also 3 live songs made in Ann Arbor, Michigan in April 1977.
“Moody Blue” had great commercial success when its release coincided with the death of Elvis, reaching third position in sales in both the United States and the United Kingdom. It was certified double platinum by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association Of America).

#15.- BLUE HAWAII (1961)
In position number 15 we find the soundtrack of the film Blue Hawaii, published by RCA in October 1961. Recorded at the Radio Recorders in Hollywood on March 21, 22 and 23, 1961.
Blue Hawaii spent twenty weeks at number one on the American Billboard charts and 39 weeks in the Top 10 and was certified triple platinum by the RIAA.
It contains songs like Blue Hawaii and Cant Help Falling In love, etc. and just for having the latter, in our opinion, it deserves to be ranked number 15 in our ranking.
#14.- FROM MEMPHIS TO VEGAS / FROM VEGAS TO MEMPHIS (1969)
Also titled Elvis In Person At The International Hotel and Back In Memphis separately. It was published in October 1969 by RCA. The album is a double album, the first live and the second studio, recorded respectively at the International Hotel in Paradise (Las Vegas, Nevada) on August 24 and 26, 1969, and the second was recorded at the American Sound Studios in Memphis in January and February of that same year.
This double LP reached number 12 on the Billboard chart and was certified gold by the RIAA.
It contains live songs such as Blue Suede Shoes, Johnny B.Goode or Suspicious Minds, and studio recordings such as Inherit The Wind, Do You Know Who I Am, etc…
#13.- ELVIS (NBC – TV SPECIAL) (1968)
This album was issued by RCA in November 1968. The recording was made at Western Recorders in Burbank, California.
Before recording the Christmas television special on video, a soundtrack was recorded to be published before its broadcast on December 3.
This album peaked at number 8 on the Billboard chart and was certified platinum by the RIAA in 1999.
Contains songs like: “If I Can Dream”, “Memories” “Trouble – Guitar Man”, etc…
#12.- HOW GREAT THOU ART (1967)
Elvis Presley’s eleventh studio album and second of Gospel content in his career. Released by RCA in February 1967 and was recorded at RCA Studio B in Nashville on March 25, 26, 27, and 28, 1966.
This huge album reached number 18 on the Billboard chart and was certified triple platinum by the RIAA. Elvis Presley won a Grammy Award for this album in the category of best inspirational performance.
Contains Gospel songs such as: How Great Thou Art, Run On, Somebody Bigger Than You And I, etc…
#11. ON STAGE (1970)
LP released by RCA in June 1970. It is Presley’s second live album recorded mostly between February 16 and 19, 1970 at the International Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
It reached number 13 on the Billboard chart and was certified platinum by the RIAA.
This LP contains songs such as: The Wonder Of You, Sweet Caroline, Polk Salad Annie among others.
The songs “Runaway” and “Yesterday” belong to their previous season in August 1969.
#10.- FROM ELVIS IN MEMPHIS (1969)
Elvis Presley’s twelfth studio album. It was released by RCA in June 1969. This album was recorded at American Sound Studios in Memphis, Tennessee in January and February of that same year under the production of Chips Moman.
Following the television success of the 1968 Christmas special, this album marked Presley’s return to recording studio albums after completing his film contract.
From Elvis In Memphis peaked at number 13 on the Billboard chart. as well as number 2 on the country albums chart and number two in the UK. It was certified gold by the RIAA and ranked number 190 of the 500 best albums of all time by Rolling Stones magazine.
Contains songs like In The Ghetto, Any Day Now, After Loving You, etc….
#09.- ELVIS (1956)
Elvis Presley’s second studio album with RCA. Released in October 1956, the recording sessions were on September 1, 2 and 3 at Radio Recorders in Hollywood.
It stayed at number 1 on Billboard for four weeks and was certified gold by the RIAA.
This album contains songs like: Love me, Rip It Up, Ready Teddy, Long Tall Sally etc….
#08.- ALOHA FROM HAWAII: VIA SATELLITE (1973)
This LP contains the concert that Elvis Presley gave via satellite at the Honolulu International Center in Hawaii on January 14, 1973. Part of the proceeds went to the Kui Lee Cancer Fund.
Initial reports indicated that the concert was watched by 1.5 billion people in 36 countries. RCA released the concert album in February 1973.
It reached number 1 on the Billboard chart and sold half a million copies in two weeks. Three weeks after its launch it was certified gold and later became 5X platinum.

#07.- HIS HAND IN MINE (1960)
Elvis Presley’s seventh studio album and his first Gospel-themed album. It was released by RCA in November 1960. Recorded at RCA’s Studio B in Nashville on October 30 and 31, 1960.
His Hand In Mine reached number 13 on the Billboard chart and was certified platinum by the RIAA.
This fantastic gospel album contains songs like: Swing Down Sweet Chariot, His Hand In Mine, Im Gonna Walk Dem Golden Stairs, etc…
#06.- KING CREOLE (1958)
Without a doubt Elvis Presley’s best film and of course his best soundtrack. It was published by RCA in September 1958.
The recording was made at Radio Recorders in Hollywood. This fantastic soundtrack, with masterful performances by Elvis Presley, reached number 2 on the Billboard chart.
Contains songs like: King Creole, Trouble, Hard Headed Woman, etc….
#05.- ELVIS COUNTRY (I’M 10.000 YEARS OLD) (1971)
Elvis Country was released by RCA in January 1971. Recorded at RCA’s Studio B in Nashville in 5 days of sessions in June 1970. Elvis and Felton Jarvis realized they needed two more songs to finish an all-country album. , in this way the other two songs were recorded in September, Snowbird and Whole Lotta Shaking Goin On.
This album reached number 12 on the Billboard chart and number 6 in the United Kingdom. The RIAA certified it gold in 1977.
Elvis Country contains songs like: I Really Dont Want To Know, There Goes My Everything, Tomorrow Never Comes, etc…
#04.- ELVIS AS RECORDED AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN (1972)
This was Elvis Presley’s second live album and for us the best. Released by RCA in June 1972, it was recorded live at Madison Square Garden in New York on June 10, 1972.
It reached number 3 of the best-selling albums in the United Kingdom and number 11 on the US Billboard. The RIAA certified it triple platinum in 1999.
This concert, apart from their greatest hits so far, contains songs such as: Proud Mary, Never Been To Spain, For The Good Times, etc….
#03.- THAT’S THE WAY IT IS (1970)
RCA released this album in November 1970. Eight of the songs were recorded at RCA’s Studio B in Nashville in June 1970 and the remaining four were recorded live at the International Hotel in Las Vegas.
The album accompanied the premiere of the documentary with the same name and reached number 21 on the Billboard chart and number 8 on the country charts. It was certified gold by the RIAA in 1973.
Thats The Way It Is contains songs like: “You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me”, “Just Pretend”, “Bridge Over Troubled Water”, etc….
#02.- ELVIS IS BACK (1960)
Elvis Presley’s sixth studio album. Released by RCA in April 1960. Recorded during two sessions in March and April 1960, it marked Elvis’ return from military service.
The first recording session was on March 20, 1960 at RCA’s Studio B in Nashville. Elvis returned after experimenting with new sounds and left them reflected in this wonderful album. Furthermore, it is worth noting for us that Elvis did not sing better or have a prettier voice than in 1960.
Elvis Is Back reached number 1 on the UK charts, number 2 on the US Billboar chart and was certified gold by the RIAA. This album contains songs like: “Such A NIght”, “Fever”, “The Girl Of My Best Friend”, etc…
#01.- ELVIS PRESLEY (1956)
“Elvis Presley” is the debut album by the boy from Tupelo. It couldn’t have started in a better way!! It was published in March 1956 by RCA. The content was recorded at the Sun Records studios in Memphis, at the Nashville studios in mid-January and at the RCA studios in New York at the end of January.
This album spent 10 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard chart. In 2003, Rolling Stones magazine placed it at number 55 of the 500 best albums in history.
