In the summer of 1970 Elvis performed his third season at the Showroom of the International Hotel in Las Vegas, following the overwhelming and unprecedented success of the previous two seasons.

The season lasted from August 10 to September 8, 1970.

The photo corresponds to Opening Night, the day of the season’s opening dinner show on August 10, 1970.

Elvis waits nervously backstage to go on stage with his musicians and backup singers.

The costume he would be wearing that night would be the Fringe Suit, in front of an audience of two thousand two hundred people.

This concert would be part of the concerts that would be filmed for the documentary film “That’s The Way It Is” which was directed by Denis Sanders and would be released in the USA on November 11, 1970.
