INFORMATION

Blue Christmas, a song recorded by Elvis for his first Christmas album in 1957 and now appearing as the A-side of a single, failed to chart in the US. In the United Kingdom it reached position number eleven. Take number three served to make the master.

The B-side of it, Wooden Heart, a theme from the soundtrack of the film GI Blues, already appeared as the side of a single in the Anglo-Saxon market, reaching no less than the first position on the charts. Now he was doing it in the US without much luck since he couldn’t get into the Top 100. Take four was chosen for the master.
