INFORMATION
In Wild In The Country Elvis plays a rebellious and conflictive young man who possesses exceptional literary skills; talent that he will try to develop thanks to the help of a psychiatrist (Hope Lange).
Again a great acting effort by Elvis in what would be one of his last dramatic roles in many years. As would happen with Flaming Star, the film failed at the box office, despite having proven actresses such as Millie Perkins or Tuesday Weld, which definitely prompted Hollywood producers to pigeonhole the King of Rock into musical comedies that generated succulent dividends. The script is by the prestigious playwright Clifford Odets.
