Almost In Love was published in November 1970. New release from the Camden label (RCA) which in this case did not show new material. It was a collection of songs from different eras (recordings between 1967/1969).
The year 1970 was one of Elvis’s most prolific years in terms of releases of both singles and LPs, only comparable to 1956. His popularity was booming and both old and new fans purchased any release that came on the market. Surprisingly, for an LP without new material, it reached number 65 on the Billboard charts. Sales were no less surprising, exceeding 400,000 copies.
Currently the Almost In Love LP is listed as platinum by the RIAA.
